i had to teach a teaching ” how to relate to our parents… “

i expected the atmosphere to be kinda dead .. cuz they might be things the people won’t normally do.. but to them it seems interesting. hahas

anyway i decided to blog cuz i found out people do pass by my post everyday and i don’t wanna disappoint them. hahas (bhb). LIKE SO TOTALLY!

anyway , something funny.. i hope arielle didnt see this . hahas. on the day where her cg and sandy and i fetched her, she broke down and cried. the moment i saw her countenance , i knew it wasnt abt the fact that she missed us and etc like what the rest thought. hahas. the rest thought she missed us that’s why she cried . that was definitely a funny scene. hahas. but its due to personal matters   but anyway , i really appreciate arielle alot alot.

also , i wanna thk jade for helping me in guitar. we met at city hall at 10 am and aft tt i went NUM. hahas. spotted sth i wanna buy AGAIN.

anyway. just testing. hahas. i hope i’ve succeeded. anyway , before im late , let me put up an impt post. as i was reading reader digest recently again , i dawned upon a post ” i hunted down the woman who stole my life” . it just simply talks abt a woman who stole her identity , possessions , managed to get to all her bank accounts , and much more. and she was obviously living in terror. when i read this , it really struck me that we CANNOT  let satan take away our birthright. becareful of how u live your life ; over reproach , salt and light ……

ANYWAY , im gonna fetch darling arielle today with sandy !! which meant im not working today!!!:)

don’t obey in your comfort zone .

you see , whats the points of obeying when you’re already in you comfort zone.. it’s logical and common sensical.

anyway !  some of my other learnings are printed and given to some people.. i shall type some impactful ones..

1. significance is found in the number of days we’ve used them .

2. our words and works shd ALWAYS say the same thing.

3. THANKSGIVING is a way of life.

4. afflictions are designed to bring us to God.

5. heartless sarcasm is definitely more harmful than physical bruises.

6.abusive language reveals a sinful heart.

7. a faith COSTS NOTHING & DEMANDS NOTHING is worth nothing.

alright. i believe all these are simple and clear to understand

anyway , there’s two qualifications/requirements that’s mentioned in my sub-d ” desperate shepherds” meet.

1. committed to the will of God.

simply put , without the will of God , who are you actually serving ? hahas.

 

2. obedience.

asking God to grow you means asking God to test you. which also means asking you to step out of your comfort zone . ALSO means , you need to obey. wells , we can ask God for a thousand and one things , the moment we don’t obey , it’s violating God’s command , it’s disregarding God’s presence . ( you see , if you know God’s there , you’ll definitely obey right ? it’s just abt our identity in Jesus.) , it’s insubmission towards authority , it’s sabotaging your own SPIRITUAL LIFE ,  it’s neglecting God’s love ,  it’s revolt , stubbornness and TRANSGRESSIONS!!!

alright. but along with obedience, isn’t FAITHFULNESS crucial ? obedience is great , but obedience along with faithfulness is stupendous! what completes it is faithfulness. you can obey , do it for one day. you can be faithful and obey , do it till God says STOP.

ALRIGHT . peok the gorgeous is tired. anyway , on tues evening , peok the gorgeous is gonna fetch arielle the brillant at the airport. i bet she can see this , cuz shanghai cant read wordpress. hahas.

in north clm worship, when we sang the first song, Come holy Spirit , God dropped me a few words : refresh , renewal and freshness.

then im like , ” God , i was really refreshed by you each day ma.. “

God said , ” not for you , for the cl team” .

then i , ” orh… ok . so am i supposed to say ? hahas. “

God said , ” if you don’t wanna say , i’ll send someone else to do it then”

then i , ” oh !ok!:) hee.”

it was kinda scary , cause i think it’s the first time God dropped me a prophesy for the cl team..

after that shar talked to us and she identified the same word.. ( i shan’t elaborate further..)

some things abt which im convicted of what shar said.

- refresh.

-intergrity of heart.

-let God deal.

-luke 10:38-42. (be mary , not martha)

- we don’t ask God to do things for us , God’ll give us what we really need:)

overall: – do you treat God as your bestfriend?

To LEADERS:

if we lose our characters, we lose our credibility.

anyway , i wanna thank God for growing my gift of discernment, i knew that cause i was praying for this person in clm , and God reveal a picture to me , it really took courage for me to pray out for this person as the picture wasn’t direct and i had to interpret out the pic into words. yup. after the prayer , i asked this person whether did i discerned correctly and this person said yes. !!!!!

another thing , while me and 3 other ppl were having supper . anonymous asked us , what’ll make you bang the table. at that instance , i took it as a joke . it took me a while to process. what’ll really make me bang the table is , if people are not giving their best , don’t have the spirit of excellence.. yep.

ps: anyway , i wanna take effort to grow in relationships with friends:)

some learnings:)

i think all of us know the diff btw ” God is love” . and “God has love”. God has love doesn’t mean God is love. it’s like when i say ” i know the president” , it’s indeed very diff from ” i am the president”. one more example , a god(i shall not reveal, however if you wanna know , can look for me:) ) stated ” i know the way the truth and the life” . but Jesus stated , ” I AM the way the truth and the life” . there’s indeed a very big diff. The ‘god’ know , but the god isn’t.

the next thing im reminded today is.

Matthew 11:12 (New International Version)

12From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

we need to understand that Jesus didn’t say forcefully advanced. cause forcefully advanced is past tense… it’s over ! no more growth ! no! but “forcefully advancing” shows a continuous action , and it’s accelerating . in our context . our kingdom oF God should grow like , week one – 2 converts . week 2 – 4 converts . week 3 – 8 converts. so it should have increasing velocity . yep:)

another thing im reminded is that , we’re privileged to be created by God. think abt it .

the last thing i wanna say is that . God is definitely gracious. knowing that we’r sinful , He still created us. knowing that we’ll backstab Him , He still created us. ( definitely the list goes on)

finally , hahas. what impacted me today when i visited a cg is that . ” to be like christ , be with Christ” . that’s very true isn’t it.. what we are is made up from the influence of  the surrounding. influence is impt . that’s why a leader influences..

thanksgiving .

There are definitely many things which i want to thank God for in 2008 . however the question to ask is that , are all these the best that i can do?

as much as i can/ will thank God for in every part/day/period of  my life , am i fulfilling God’s tasks for me? as much as God has helped me in every area of my life , am i making full use of his grace , mercy and love ? as much as God’s omnipotence is evident , am i taking advantage of his deeds?

i shall share some of my thanksgiving points.

1. God .

definitely he has helped me the most. being my assurance when im alone. being my guide when im lost….. (and the list goes on..) but what’s more prominent that i wanna thank is his presence . during my o levels period , his presence made a very important role in my life , guiding mr through and assuring me:)

2. immediate family.

my family is definitely which  appreciate alot. my parents always support me . bought lots and lots and lots of tonic for me. as a typical asian culture, they don’t say “i love you” , but my mum do:) my dad would show love by getting whatever i needed , like sweets to keep me awake , food to keep me well taken care of , tonics and support me financially.

3. previous DMM.

which includes dk, josh , val , jog. i really apprecite them alot alot . for what they’ve done . being with them is totally indescribable:)

4. choir.

choir is actually quite a closed group . all of us are bonded closely together , spiritually too. im glad to have a group of friends like them . and thank god for louis . he always gives his best in all that he do , he always speaks with convictions that actually inspires ppl:)

5. shar.

she’s always been sarcrificial to travel down to wdl and shpd me. as much as she was busy , she’ll take time out. a good listening ear indeed.

6. arielle .

a great support in my life . though she’s not in singapore , we always update each other tru msn and etc. during my o levels period , she travelled down to adm to teach me in math and sciences. i was really touched and really aprreciate her alot . found her in choir. hahas. same section too:) sop 1:)

7. mighty.

wanna thank david for guiding me and being my spiritual father. without him guiding my life , i wouldn’t be where i am now. thanks david. wanna thank mighty for being part of my life.

8. coffeeBEANS.

hey girls . really appreciate you guys. really wanna thank you for your presence , support , love and joy. thanks for the times you guys bought things for me . thanks for the times when you supported me when the whole world don’t:)

2009.

it’s 1.5hrs to 2009 . have i done everything that pleases God?

nope. but i wanna move on and give my all in 2009.

wanna affirm jamie. look at her blog. you’ll know what i meant . it’s under the north catergory. hahas. have i affrimed her ? hmmm. she’s really grown alot . anyway , another way i appreciate abt her is that she always meet the needs of the leaders. jamie, really a gem , yet i found you! abit mushy , but don’t shy ah..

she’s really a great friend to make/ be with. i really appreciate her alot. she taught me alot. she’s really humble and it’s great that she can identify with me:)

4 days to end of ’08

alright . 4 days left  to the end of  2008 . one very good question we can all ask ourselves is , what have i done this year ? as this question was posted , i asked myself , how have i actually discipled my ppl well.. however , we can view it in another perspective , if we wanna view it legalistically , we can say that we have definitely done alot , due to the meetings , and shpdings and cg and etc. how , one question is that , did we actually fulfil God’s tasks each day ? not mentioning completing cg08 , but just being a salt & light at home .. are you?

anyway , there’re some cards written to me which are kinda meaningful and heartwarming to me.

one of my cards is definitely special , fm regina , from west  .  the edges of the card is burnt ! and she then cut the ends . that’s definitely very meticulous. what’s more is that she added saying ” every burnt edge represents my prayer for you , to God” .

oh ya! for ur info , i haven’t finished writing the cards . hees.

anyway , i wanna thk God for the choiristers who wrote cards for me (:

anyway , amongst all my cards , 40% are more inclined to talk abt my high amplitude and high freq. voice . heehees .

anyway , around an hour ago , one of my sheep told me that she’d regretted wasting time in 2008 , and my heart immediately was shattered . it goes to show how , i , as a shepherd have led her . but i can say that i have done my best . anyway back to the cards.

one guy , called jianhao . wrote “…. tho’ there were many obvious flaws, you were willing to change when i explained them to you….” at that point , due to my defensive nature, i thought ,  ” hey! this is a christmas card and u wote this… “  however , let’s use jianhao as an example , he is one of the few ppl who i think has secured the place of a people person . another person is a great and powerful mighty leader , DAVID HOE. yea:)  JH ended with ” you taught me this : stay single-minded for Jesus” . i was shockingly impressed .  i’d never expect him to affirm me in one way or another . but this taught me one thing , ur life matters . it’s definitely impt cause we are Christ ambassodors , whatever u do , ppl remembers them . so don’t shortchange ur life cause there’s no such thing as shortcut to spiritual growth.
